            Planning Permission

Planning Permission, in simple terms, is like asking if you can do a certain piece of building work. It will be granted (possibly subject to certain conditions) or refused.

Certain types of work are covered by 'permitted development'. This means that they can be carried out without planning permission, so long as they comply with the permitted development rules and restrictions.

The main responsibility for implementing planning regulations has been given to the Local Authorities (usually, this is the planning department of your local council). If then you have any queries about a particular case, the first thing to do is to contact your Local Planning Office or take advice from a Planning Expert.

It is your responsibility for seeking, or not seeking, Planning Permission and it is important that Planning Permission is obtained before any work on site begins.

NHA Surveyors are experienced in making 'Building' and 'Planning' Applications and in preparing the necessary forms and Drawings for submission to the Local Authority.

Please email your enquiry and we will contact you by return or call 0800 840 1801 for further information and costs.
